In its description, Google said, "Galloping for gold! Time to saddle up for the Para Equestrian events at the Château de Versailles." Unlike the Olympics, which includes three equestrian disciplines, the Paralympics feature only one—dressage. In this event, both the rider and the horse are judged on various factors.
As outlined on Olympics.com, the evaluation criteria for equestrian events include the accuracy and quality of riding, artistic finesse, and the horse's gait and halts.
Though para dressage initially began as a leisure activity, formal competitions started in the 1970s. It was officially included in the Paralympic Games during the Atlanta Games in 1996.
