Michigan football vs. Texas score today: Live updates, highlights from Week 2 game

Even though it's only September, college football has already reached playoff intensity.

No. 9 Michigan will host No. 3 Texas at the Big House in one of the season’s most anticipated nonconference matchups. Michigan, the reigning national champions, aims to reinforce their position as the top team in college football and extend their home winning streak that stretches back to the 2020 season.

The Longhorns are out to secure a signature road victory and make an early case for the No. 1 spot in the nation. Last year, these teams nearly faced off in the national championship, but Michigan ended up playing Washington for the title after the Huskies defeated the Longhorns in the semifinals. Now, the Wolverines get their chance to test themselves against Texas in this high-stakes game.
